Description of REA PC Scan LD4 - 133 mm barcode size / reading area.

• REA PC Scan LD 4 is the only barcode verifier that works with absolute numerical values for reading and is most often used as a reference instrument. REA PC Scan handles barcodes up to 133 mm but also comes in a size of 220 mm and is perfect for helping to analyze the quality and dimensional variations of the printer or printing machine. Here it is a great tool for analyzing where and possibly what the error is.
  
  REA PC Scan uses REA's Transwin software for presentation. Transwin provides an easy-to-understand graphical presentation that explains deviations simply and accurately with 1/1000 mm precision. REA PC Scan also handles the GS1 data structure of the codes, which ensures against errors in the construction of the barcodes. It is the only barcode verifier that is self-calibrating. REA PC Scan has a built-in white ceramic plate to calibrate its light, and its length and size are automatically adjusted based on the rail that the head moves on and does not need to be calibrated.
  
  REA PC Scan can also measure surface texture and provide a graphical presentation of the surface. This is especially useful when dealing with barcode quality issues on products with large textures such as egg cartons.
  
  Note: Aperture is normally from 4 mm and up to 8 mm here. It is also available in a 10 - 20 mm solution, which must be decided upon purchase.
