RAL color card
RAL colour card - The industry's colour standardRAL colour system is the industry's answer to what Pantone is in textiles and graphic use.In industry you will often see colours on e.g. building materials given in a RAL code. The most widely used RAL colour card is their K7. It consists of 210 colours, available in a compact small colour chart (colour fan) and in a larger version with a page for each colour so you can properly see and evaluate it. There is also the RAL D2 fan, which is intended for general design purposes and contains 1,625 colours printed on semi-matte paper. What do you do if you want to work with RAL and Pantone together on a project? You can't directlyconvert between RAL and Pantone, as they are two different colour systems, but their are two ways you can work with it as a workaround.1. You can of course compare the colors of the two fans. Then you make a visual comparison. 2. You can use a Pantone Capsure instrument to find the nearest Pantone color by making a measurement in the RAL color chart. |
