Nowadays, it's quite easy to create fantastic results with beautiful colors and details using a 4-color label printer when you print yourself.
The costs of making your own labels are so low that if you need between 1-30,000 labels per month or have many different variants, it often doesn't pay to buy them from your normal label printing company.
There are often quite large startup costs that you completely avoid by having your own little label printing on the desk. Additionally, there is no waste and you achieve complete design freedom.
You can print on many different types of paper and media.
We are resellers of Epson ColorWorks 4-color label printers and experts in their use and setup. Therefore, we can always help with the full setup and training so you can be fully self-sufficient in your production.

Typical customers who can use a label printer
Coffee roasters and coffee producers
Many coffee producers and roasters need labels in small quantities and with many variants.
Here it is obvious to use their own label printer to get the perfect branding and look on your coffee bags.
You can easily print what we call variable data, such as expiration date and batch number directly on the label without having to pre-print on your purchased labels. That is why Epson label printers are also very popular among this customer type. See the Coffee Manifesto case story for more information.
Beer, wine, and spirit producers
For many micro-producers of beer, wine, and spirits, it's about standing out, and here a full-color label can be an important strategy. It is often small quantities and you need variable data such as date and batch number. You can easily handle this yourself.
If you have us to deliver your labels for you, we can even make it so that the front and back label on the bottle can be printed at the same time and are ready for assembly on the bottle.
Exhibition organizers and ticket systems
Even though Epson ColorWorks is made as a label printer, it can do so much more. Because it is a 4-color printer, it can be used as an entrance ticket printer or for printing "name tags". There is self-adhesive tear-resistant material that can print name badges, which can then be easily attached to the participant's lanyard.
You can use it for branding and with color coding on the name tag, you can easily distinguish, for instance, exhibitors and visitors.
Pharmacies and healthcare
Traditionally, almost all labels in the pharmacy and healthcare sectors have been printed with black/white thermal printing.
However, the EU has set new requirements for better labeling, and color on especially hazard labels is now a requirement.
Epson ColorWorks supports the ZPL language, which allows you, with very few changes, to replace your old thermal printer and get full color on your labels.
Food producers
There are several different types of food producers who use label printers in their production.
Some of them that we typically see are honey producers, jam producers, candy producers, fruit producers, chocolate producers, spice producers, nut retailers, and bakeries.
They are used for printing both front and back labels, branding, or wraparound on packaging.
Private label
If you have a private label product or are considering getting one in the future, it is very important to ensure that your front or product labels are nice, colorful, and make your brand stand out from the crowd.
This can be done in many ways, either by ordering them "out there" or producing them yourself on Epson ColorWorks.
We recommend printing them yourself so you always have full control over your label and save a lot per label you use.
Marketing/Print on demand
With your own label printer, you can easily make personalized items, like what we have seen on Cola bottles, Nutella jars, or beer bottles.
With this solution, you can do it down to a single bottle level, which is quite unique.
It could also be that you the company or at a trade fair would like your own branded water bottles. The possibilities are many, so it is only your own ideas that set the limit.
E-cigarette producers
E-cigarettes, vape cannabis oil is a market that has grown explosively in recent years. It is a market where almost all retailers have their own private label brand. For this, labels are needed and since there is a lot of liquid in containers that are opened again and again, it's important they are water and tear-resistant.
We can handle that with our printing solution and paper, ensuring that the print is waterproof and tear-resistant so you as a retailer can be sure to comply with the law.
Retail
In retail, Epson ColorWorks printers are used to print shelf fronts in full color.
In Denmark, all shelf fronts in Netto are printed with an Epson ColorWorks printer, even though it is still black/white, but in the EU, we have seen, for example, large building supplies chains printing in full color with both images and prices.
This is done so customers in the store can easily distinguish products on the shelves, avoiding misunderstandings.
Butcheries
Many butcheries have realized that today there is an alternative to the classic black/white thermal printed labels.
Epson ColorWorks can integrate with various weight manufacturers, weighing and labeling is no longer a hindrance.
This works by the butcher placing "the meat" on the scale, which is connected to the printer, and here an automatic label is printed with date, best before, gram weight, and whatever else they desire. All in full color with lots of branding value, so you as a local butcher can stand out.
Chemicals and cleaning product producers
In combination with the right media and ink, you can print chemically approved labels (GHS). We see great interest from producers of cleaning products and chemical producers, as well as places in production where things have to be labeled but require daily cleaning. This could be dairy factories, large kitchens, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Some of our customers also use them for marking, for example, fish crates and oil drums that come into contact with water.
Warehouse and packaging lines
Something as simple and boring as warehouse labels and labels attached to automated packaging lines can also be updated for easier identification and sorting.
Epson ColorWorks can take ZPL, so you can easily replace your old thermal black/white printers with a 4-color printer.

Unleash your imagination - Get labels in almost any shape and size
When you print your own labels, you are no longer limited by the few sizes Epson offers as standard. You can order die-cut labels in just the size you need. No matter if they need to be square, oval, or round.
Creative die-cut
With our creative die-cut, it is only your imagination that sets the limits. To create a label to your needs, we need a dimensionally accurate die drawing at a 1:1 scale.
The file is sent to us for approval, where we then send a proposal about the label back.
Borderless printing
To make a true borderless print, it requires you to order our labels to size and we leave what is called a "Matrix" on the roll. The labels you can print are then true borderless labels, meaning you can print right to the edge.
The only challenge with this is that they can only be used for manual application when there is a matrix on them.
If they need to be applied with an automatic label applicator, there is an extra step, which requires a matrix remover/stripper.
We put a blackmark on the back of the paper, which tells the printer precisely where to start its print. With this, you are sure your labels start in the perfect place every time.
It is therefore important that you choose "Yes" to borderless print in your order if you desire this.
